Jay Ignacio
Board Member
Jay retired as President from Hawaii Electric Light Company in 2019. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Hawai’i. Jay has experience in engineering and managing projects, managing a large organization, including fiscal, quality and personnel performance of the organization, and interacting with the community and with government personnel. In addition to the East Hawai’i Regional Board, Jay also serves on the Hilo High School Foundation Board and is Board President for Hawai’i Island Adult Care. He was born and raised in Hilo.
